Q4 2020 Performance of Top Sandbox Games on Android in Brazil

As the year 2020 came to a close, the sandbox game genre continued to captivate players on the Android platform in Brazil. Data from Sensor Tower provides us with insights into how the top five sandbox games performed in the fourth quarter.

Roblox by Roblox Corporation, showed a steady increase in revenue, peaking at $250K in the third week of December. The game's downloads saw an initial rise to 421K in late October before gradually declining to 299K by the year's end. Meanwhile, weekly active users fluctuated, reaching a high of 9.36M in late November.

Craftsman: Building Craft by StarGame22, which does not report revenue, experienced a rise in downloads from 256K to 367K between late September and the end of December. The game's weekly active users showed a steady increase, finishing the year with 2.15M.

Although Minecraft Trial by Mojang also does not report revenue, its downloads started at 234K and ended slightly down at 189K. The weekly active users witnessed a slight decline from 1.34M to 1.26M over the quarter.

Brazil's own Wildlife Studios saw its game, Block Craft 3D: Building Game, generate modest revenue, with a slight uptick to $135 in the final week of December. The game's downloads showed an upward trend, ending the quarter at 164K, while the active user base grew to 1.14M by year-end.

Lastly, KawaiiWorld by akseno2, with zero reported revenue, saw a decrease in downloads from 225K at the start of the quarter to 74K. Its active users followed a similar downward trend, ending the quarter at 260K.
